One Minute South is the perfect venue to hold events of all sizes, to celebrate birthdays, weddings, anniversaries or to get away for a weekend of partying. We have a full compliment of staff with extensive hospitality and catering experience. The space is also proving to be ever more popular for all sorts of retreats from writing to yoga to company team-building getaways.
Lakeside, fireside, poolside – you decide.
We have numerous locations for any functions to be held on our 20-acre space with lots of natural shading. We have an outside amphitheater for performances or shows, ample outside seating and an outside kitchen and bar. Don’t forget, you have the whole island to play with – we recommend orchard-shaded picnics and boat cruises, beach BBQs, hilltop dancefloors and deserted beaches for sunsets, bonfires and romantic dining. The bar and food service also extends to all of the above.
Our chefs wants your culinary memories to bring you back to One Minute South. They strive to design a menu that tantalises your taste buds with flavors you’ll love. We cater to every palette and avoid any unwanted ingredients if desired (vegan, vegetarian, gluten free etc.) We serve fresh, organic island-grown vegetables and herbs, fruit from our orchards of trees, as well as the delicious Lake Victoria Tilapia and Nile Perch freshly caught for your events.
Catering Prices
$49 per person per day for a full breakfast, 3 course lunch, afternoon tea and dinner or $16 per two course meal. $29 half board.
Half price for children under the age of 14.

Once in a Blue Moon, this event brings artists and musicians together at One Minute South, a completely unique and stunning location on Bulago Island, Lake Victoria. We are planning to have our next arts festival under the full moon in November, with limited tickets available. This event will be Art focused, so we encourage guests to use our new spaces, take part in performances, workshops, games, installations, interventions and art sessions throughout the weekend. There will also be sunrise and sunset yoga, live music performances and DJs. Enjoy a festival in paradise and let your artistic talents flow.

Introducing womxn in the wild, a long weekend on the beautiful island of Bulago. An opportunity to let go – take a break from the city, forget real life for a moment and release some steam with some incredible women.
